Seabed hiking in the Wadden Sea

“Out into the sunset light — home under the stars”

The Wadden Sea at sunset is something that one experiences strongly through the senses.

The light glides low across the water, the sky gets bigger, and the open landscape feels almost like another world. On this hike we go out into the sunset and home of Mandø Ebvevj in the deeper calm of dusk.

It is in this shift that the senses sharpen and many experience a great change in being in nature in the Wadden Sea.

The meeting place is at the parking lot Okholmvej 5, 6760 Ribe.

There are public toilets here and from here we drive together to Mandø Ebvevj, where we also finish the trip.

From here we walk along the dyke to the north and further out onto Låningsvejen.

We stop about 4 km outside, where we follow the sun down into the ocean horizon.

Then we turn east and walk home along Mandø Ebvevj — now on the seabed, while the last light of day recedes and darkness announces its arrival.

The terrain is varied, and on parts of the trip we go into water — max up to knee height.

Tide and Safety:

The tide determines unconditionally. We plan according to tide tables and local conditions and we never compromise on safety. The route can therefore be adjusted so that the experience becomes safe and in balance with the forces of nature. If it is necessary to cancel, the full amount will be refunded.
